Highlights or Balayage?

Highlights are woven into foils and usually taken close to the root, which gives even, uniform brightness and a defined line as your hair grows. Balayage is painted on freehand, feathered at the starting point and heavier through the mid-lengths and ends, so it grows out softly and needs redoing less often.

If a lower-maintenance grow-out matters more to you than all-over brightness, look at full head balayage or half head balayage. Not sure which suits your hair?
