Balayage Consultation
Balayage is a bespoke, hand-painted colour service, so the price and the timing depend entirely on your hair. Your complimentary 30 minute consultation in Corringham is where we work all of that out together. Your colourist looks at your natural depth, your colour history and the condition of your hair, then plans placement and tone around your skin tone, your lifestyle and how often you want to be in the salon.
You will leave with a clear quote, a realistic appointment length and your skin patch test completed, so your colour appointment can go ahead without delay. There is no obligation to book.

- A skin patch test, required at least 48 hours before any colour service.
- A written quote and an accurate appointment length, plus a maintenance and aftercare plan.
Who It's For
This consultation is for anyone considering balayage at our Corringham salon for the first time, and for existing clients making a bigger change: growing out an all-over tint, correcting a previous balayage, going lighter, or softening regrowth lines so colour is easier to live with.
It is also the right first step if your hair has been coloured at home, lightened elsewhere, or feels dry and fragile. We would always rather assess your hair properly than guess at an appointment length or a shade.
Why Balayage Is Quoted, Not Priced
Two clients asking for the same balayage rarely need the same appointment. Hair length, density, natural depth, existing colour and how much lift you want all change the amount of product, the number of sections painted and the time at the backwash. Rather than publish a price that turns out to be wrong for you, we quote after seeing your hair. Full head balayage typically takes 180 to 240 minutes and half head balayage 120 to 180 minutes, and your consultation confirms which suits you.
Patch Test Requirements
A skin patch test is a professional and insurance requirement before any colour or toning service, including balayage. It takes a couple of minutes, is carried out behind the ear or inside the elbow, and must be done at least 48 hours before your appointment. You will need a fresh patch test if it has been more than six months since your last colour with us, if you have had a reaction to any colour or dye, or if you have had a tattoo, semi-permanent brow or lash treatment since your last visit. If a reaction occurs, contact the salon and do not attend for colour.
What to Bring
Come with your hair as it normally is, unwashed is completely fine, and bring photographs of the results you like and any you want to avoid. If you know the brand of any home colour you have used, that detail is genuinely useful. If you wear your hair up most days, or you have a wedding or holiday in the diary, tell us: it changes where we place the lightener.
